Matt Kinsey, MSCIS, GCCRS, CGC

Matt Kinsey is a founding partner of IT Fusion and serves as both Managing Director and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With more than 35 years of professional IT experience, he brings Fortune 200–level expertise to South Florida organizations, shaped by leadership roles at Rexall Sundown, Miami Children’s Hospital, Alamo/National Car Rental, and Office Depot. At IT Fusion, Matt’s focus is straightforward: help organizations protect sensitive data, reduce cyber risk, and avoid the legal and contractual fallout that often follows a breach.

Matt specializes in cybersecurity strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation for high-stakes industries. As a Galactic Certified Compliance Consultant (GC3) and Certified Cyber Risk Strategist (CCRS), he helps businesses align their security programs with practical, defensible standards and evolving compliance requirements. Since 2007, he has supported law firms, CPA firms, and other professional services organizations—where confidentiality and trust aren’t nice-to-haves, they’re the product.

Known internally as a “translator-in-chief,” Matt has a gift for turning complex technical topics into clear business guidance without making clients feel like they need a computer science degree to keep up. He often uses real-world analogies—like high-security facilities—to explain concepts such as Zero Trust and layered defenses in ways that stick. His approach blends proactive protection (monitoring, prevention, and response readiness) with the documentation and discipline needed to stand up to audits, insurance requirements, and incident scrutiny.

Matt holds a Master’s in Computer Information Systems and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Before co-founding IT Fusion, he served as CEO of MK Tech Group, which operated successfully from 2007 through 2024. His technical depth, business leadership, and strategic vision help clients navigate today’s cybersecurity landscape with clarity, confidence, and measurable results.
